Alan Bristow is the Founder and Managing Director of ICON Corporate Finance.  He is recognised as one of the country's leading corporate finance advisers and has over 25 years of combined fund raising and M&A experience. Throughout this period Alan has dealt with some of the world's leading investors and technology companies. He specializes in all aspects of raising venture capital, management buy-outs, acquisitions and corporate sales and has advised on over 200 transactions. Before establishing ICON, he spent his formative years in the City of London before joining Price Waterhouse in Melbourne. He also worked as the Finance Director for an Australian Investment Group, prior to  returning to the UK and establishing ICON as a leading M&A house to the tech sector. He holds a degree in Economics and Politics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Likes include rugby, economics, skiing, sailing and technology that makes the world a better place. He is a frequent speaker and author on venture capital fundraising and selling companies.

Brian is a co-founder of ICON and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. He specialises in advising shareholders of technology companies on their exit strategy. He has over 20 years experience in investment banking, mergers, acquisitions and disposals. Having worked both as principal and adviser he has a unique experience as both a buyer of, and an adviser to, high growth companies in USA, France, Hong Kong, China and the UK. Prior to working at ICON Brian spent eight years in Hong Kong, latterly as Head of Equity Research for the No1 ranked Investment Bank at the time - Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia. Before that he worked for two UK PLCs as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and completed over 15 acquisitions in that period. Brian is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Ray is the CEO of big data analytics company, Coactiva Group which he sold to Callcredit Information Group. Established in 2001, with offices in London and Wales, Coactiva is a pioneer in applying ‘Big Data' Analytics & Business Intelligence within many public sector organisations,  enabling them to reduce costs, increase revenue and improve service.  Coactiva also provides the market leading Aspireview performance management software to over 23,000 users across the UK. Ray initially worked in software development, creating leading edge operating systems, underwriting systems and dealing room software. Following this he moved into Management Consultancy and then into Executive Management roles within consultancy and IT companies, including BIS, OSI, Xansa, Steria and SunGard. Ray's 30 years’ industry experience spans Investment Banking, Insurance, Travel and the Public Sector; including roles with Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, American Express, HMRC, DWP, DFE, ONS.

Simon joined ICON in 2010 and specialises in selling and raising funds for high growth tech companies with a focus on CleanTech, energy, software, electronics, mobile and e-commerce. He has advised on transactions ranging from raising venture capital, securing strategic investments, M&A and IPOs. Since joining ICON, Simon has completed a number of transactions including: acting for Tocardo, the tidal turbine producer, on a strategic investment from Spanish energy group Repsol and the Dutch offshore specialist Huisman; the sale of a cloud software company Atlantic Global Plc to US based Keyed-In; and the sale of Hydra, the project management software company, to Latin American based e-Task Technologies.
